At Back Benders, we believe in a holistic approach to treating neuromusculoskeletal ailments, with chiropractic being the base. We believe that your spine and health are related in a fundamental way, a relationship mediated by the nervous system. That’s why we offer chiropractic to heal your body, massage to relax your body, and Pilates to strengthen your body.
We’ve integrated our modern wellness space to be a fully equipped facility, with a warm and relaxing atmosphere, and a highly trained all-female, bilingual staff.
We pride ourselves in listening to YOU and your needs to find the right treatment to help you enjoy a pain free, holistic life.
I grew up in this East Los Angeles community in a poor Latin family. Growing up, I always wanted to be a doctor — but not your traditional kind-of doctor. I wanted to help people discover their true health potential, holistically and naturally, with the least amount of interference from outside sources.
As one out of five kids, we didn’t have the money to see doctors for every cough or fever. Instead, my mother (wise as she was) spent what little money we had on a juicer, fruits, veggies, herbs, and supplements all in an effort to keep us healthy– and it worked!
Knowing that we can prevent getting sick? What a revelation! This affected me deeply as a child.
Of course, I don’t deny the genetic components beyond our control and I am not against medical intervention, when necessary. However, by doing simple things like exercise, body work, and purposeful eating to reduce our pain (and medical bills), isn’t it worth a try?
You can treat, even avoid, many neuromusculoskeletal conditions with a few simple lifestyle tweaks and regular maintenance. Unfortunately, most traditional Western medical doctors are unable or even unwilling to take on these issues. Sadly, these conditions cause unnecessary pain and severely impact lives and families, physically and financially.
I personally suffered from, not one, but TWO herniated discs caused by a fall off a 6 foot ladder(!) and, worse, I had back labor with both of my pregnancies. (Not fun.)
I KNOW back pain and what saved mine.
Fortunately, I received chiropractic care throughout both my pregnancies and it seriously made all the difference in the world. I continue to treat my injured low back with chiropractic care, massage therapy, and Pilates. I know this to be a winning combination. It worked for me and it works for my patients. As Benjamin Franklin said, “The best doctor gives the least medicines.”
So, if I can help YOU realize your body’s true potential, improve your lifestyle, or get you healthy and out of pain, it’s all worthwhile.
Get your back bending the natural, healthy way — the Back Benders way.
